• With 2 sets of cards you can play a memory game (make a pair).extremely popular and very effective to learn the words!
• With one set of cards introduce 6 words at a time, make them repeat as a group and individually.
• once you are working with 12 or more cards you can:

1. Play ‘thief’ :one child steals a card and the other children have to guess which one is missing.
2. Play ‘Slap the card’: two children are competing, you say a word and the first to slap the correct card wins.
3. Play ‘Face up’: display all the cards face up, each child in turns has to tell you one of them until they are all face down.
4. Play ‘Face down’ : display all the cards face down, in turns the children pick a card and say what they think it’s called in French, if they do not know  the card goes back face down.

• The cards can be displayed in the classroom and you can ask children randomly to find the one you are asking for.
